Mukhyamantri Swasthya Beema Yojana (MSBY) was a health insurance scheme in Jharkhand that was launched on 15 November 2017. The Jharkhand State Government had implemented the Health Insurance Scheme from 28 December 2017 to provide health insurance coverage to the state residents. The MSBY scheme provided benefits to about 57 lakh families in the state who were covered under the National Food Security Act. The government was providing free and cashless treatment to poor families under the scheme.

In the erstwhile MSBY Jharkhand Scheme, the State Govt. No premium amount was taken from the poor people, the entire premium was borne by the government. on one’s own. Treatment under the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme was made available to all government hospitals and private health institutions. The government had also listed popular and famous hospitals and nursing homes in its borderline and neighboring states for free and cashless treatment under the scheme.

The state government was providing health insurance coverage under the MSBY scheme to the residents of the state, especially the families of the economically weaker section of the society. Under the scheme, Rs. 50,000 was provisioned for secondary care, Rs. 2 lakh for special care and Rs. 30,000 for the senior citizens of the covered class additionally. The government had provided health cards to the Jharkhand MSBY beneficiaries and the entire system was cashless. The MSBY scheme was very helpful to the residents of the state, especially to those who are not able to afford the expensive treatments of today.

Chief Minister Gambhir Gambhir Bima Yojana for merger with AB-MMJAY

The Chief Minister’s severe illness evasive plan earlier included treatment of 84 types of diseases. Now 80 diseases will be covered under the Ayushman Government of India Jan Arogya Yojana. Only 4 diseases such as cancer, kidney transplant, serious liver diseases and acid attack victims will be covered under the Mukhya Mantri Severe Disease Remedial Scheme. The remaining diseases have been merged with the Ayushman Bharat Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
