Assam Anna Scheme 2021: The Assam government has launched a new affordable nutrition and nutritional support (ANNA) scheme for poor people. Under this scheme, the State Govt. Rice offers free (previously only Rs. 1 per kg). The Anna scheme will strengthen food security and benefit about 59 lakh families in Assam. state government. Assam Anna Scheme Scheme in Budget 2021

Current CM Himanta Biswa Sarma who presented the 2021-22 budget as Finance Minister said, “Sir, we are very aware and cognizant of the fact that most of the related data on nutrition comes from tea garden areas. As a progressive and inclusive government, we have been at the forefront of our efforts to bridge this gap.
